I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Washington state and am also registered as an Art Therapist. I have been providing mental health support to children, teens, and families since 2005 in a variety of settings, including clinical agencies and schools. I have experience providing therapeutic services to clients individually, in groups, and within family systems who suffer from anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, trauma, learning difficulties, and emotional or behavioral dysregulation issues.
I utilize an eclectic approach to therapy that is tailored to the needs of the individual client or family in my office. My approach to counseling generally combines Art Therapy techniques with Relational Neurosciences, (e.g. Polyvagal Theory and Interpersonal Neurobiology), play, CBT, Family Systems, and Attachment. These techniques are used to promote a healing process that is truly unique and experiential for my clients. Within the safety of the therapeutic relationship, I draw upon a wide variety of clinically-based tools (both directive and non-directive) along with humankind’s innate creativity, compassion, and inner wisdom. My goal is to assist clients in practicing more mindful, and authentic ways of connecting with themselves, others at home, and the world at large.
Having both personal and professional connections to Misophonia, I have a deep commitment to supporting those who struggle with this condition in their daily lives as well as supporting their loved ones, and truly consider it an honor to walk alongside these individuals and families in their healing journeys.
